Allto would like to thank you for taking part in our genuine market research. We take every reasonable precaution to ensure the privacy and security of your information.
Online surveys: Allto use in-house software to operate survey questionnaire software and data collection process. The data from the survey is held by Allto on our own servers.
Telephone surveys: Allto’s telephone unit is located at our head office and uses the same software suite. The data from telephone unit surveys is held on our own servers.
Personally identifiable information about you, which could include (but is not limited to) your name, address, telephone number or email address. These details could have been provided:
1. Directly by you through your answers to questions on one of our surveys
2. By one of our clients
3. Via a list of contacts which we have purchased
In the case of online surveys, we may collect technical details such as the name and version number of the internet browser you are using, your IP address, your operating system, and the time you started/finished our survey. This data is collected purely for quality control purposes.
If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence
At no time will the information you provide be used for any purpose other than research, and you will in no way be adversely affected by taking part.
We do not use market research to sell or promote any products/services. Our market research surveys use scientific methods to gather your opinions and we commit, in obtaining your co-operation, to not mislead you about the nature of the research or how the findings will be used. Your responses will be treated as confidential unless you consent to being identified.
Personally identifiable information about you will only be used for the purpose of our research study. Our company policy is to securely retain any personally identifiable information for a six month period. After this six month period, the data will be destroyed.
Where we ask permission to pass on your data in a way which would allow you to be personally identified, we will ensure that the information is only used for the stated purposes. We will not send you unsolicited mail, pass on your email addresses to others or telephone you at a later date for this purpose. If we wish to recontact you, we will ask your explicit permission for this.
As with all forms of marketing and opinion research, your co-operation is voluntary at all times. No personal information is sought from or about you without your prior knowledge and agreement. The legal basis for processing your data is to enable Allto to provide the service as agreed with its clients for legitimate market research purposes.
You have the right under the Data Protection Act 1998 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to access any information we hold about you. You also have the right to the following:
• To object to processing of your data;
• To restrict processing;
• To rectify data held
• To be forgotten (all personally identifiable data we hold on you to be deleted)
We will be happy to respond to any of these requests or any issues you may have. You can make a request by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can also contact our Data Protection Officers at this email address. We may ask you for proof of identity and address (e.g. copy of your driving license or passport, recent utility bill or credit card bill). This is to check that any information we disclose is only provided to the authorised party.Please be aware we may need to retain your information on our files to resolve disputes or for technical and legal requirements and constraints related to the security, integrity and operation of our surveys.
We will only collect and use personal information in accordance with this policy to the extent deemed reasonably necessary to serve our legitimate business purposes, and we will maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity, accuracy and privacy of the information you have provided. In addition, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that third parties to whom we transfer any personal information provide sufficient protection of that information.
Allto has rigorous security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under their control. Only certain employees have access to the information you provide us and are only granted access for data analysis and quality control purposes. By participating in this survey, you consent to this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not complete or take part in the survey.

You have the right to lodge a complaint over the way your data has been handled by Allto with the Information Commissioners Office.
