Is the weekly shop falling from favour with the younger generation?

In 2015, 1/3 of people stated that they have adopted a ‘grazing’ approach to shopping. Our upcoming study found that 41% of 18-25s shop for F&G more than once a week. So what does this signal for the weekly shopping trip?

A little taster from the opening instalment of our Triple A (Actions, Attitudes & Aspiration) report series. The reports provide insights into the shopping habits, financial motivations, lifestyle behaviours and travel plans of key consumer groups, starting with the Youth of Today.

Follow-on reports will cover Young Families, Single Professionals and Empty Nesters across the same topics. A full synopsis of each is available in our brochure.

The shopping habits section covers:-

  • Frequency, channel usage and key drivers for in-store and offline shopping.
  • Average spend
  • Shopping habits
  • Loyalty and retailer selection
