1/3 of younger people plan to holiday in the UK this year…

Holiday destinations such as Greece, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco and Turkey are apparently all falling in popularity. It seems that the growing migrant crisis and recent terror atrocities are deterring people from taking holidays in many of the countries traditionally favoured by the  British tourist.

Interestingly, 1/3 of young adults are planning a holiday break in the UK this year and another 1/3are looking at more distant destinations such as America, Thailand, Australia and the Caribbean.

The above findings are a little taster from our Youth of Today report, which is the first in a series of studies on the travel plans, shopping habits, financial motivations, and lifestyle of four key consumer groups.

The Travel section covers:-

  • Type and location of holidays people are planning/booked
  • Where young consumers book/research holidays
  • Type of activities they are planning for their holiday
  • Budget and spend allocation

For those looking to further develop their understanding of the younger generation, we’re providing engaging presentations of some top-level findings.
